Coronavirus Pandemic

Learn about the measures that Marusan has taken to help its employees!

As máscaras se tornaram parte da novo “normal”.

Unprecedented Situation: Pandemic

In early 2020, a pandemic began in China that would change the lives of the entire population of the world: the coronavirus pandemic.

Japan was less affected when compared to countries in Europe, USA and etc. We did not have the same number of deaths as in other countries, but for a few months most factories stopped their activities, especially in 2020.

Despite the aid that the Japanese government provided to help its population, many families ended up going through many difficulties due to the drop in income and lack of service.

It was no different with the foreign community, which was affected by the lack of work and massive layoffs.

Learn about the actions Marusan has taken to help its employees!

Marusan has spared no effort to carry out actions to help its employees during the pandemic, and due to the structure that Marusan has, it has been possible to carry out measures that no contractor has done to date!

Japanese Lessons receiving salary!

In an unprecedented action, Marusan employees who were out of work received full time Japanese language classes and were able to receive their full day’s pay.

The classes were held in the same building as the Cantinho Brasileiro school in Toyohashi, with accredited Japanese language teachers.

For several months, hundreds of employees were able to earn a living and enjoy Japanese classes!

Due to various factors, coronavirus vaccination in Japan started slowly in mid-February 2021.

Seeing this worrying situation, Marusan again did its utmost to help its employees:
Marusan was able to secure vaccines for more than 1500 employees, vaccines that were given at locations provided by Marusan in 2021 and 2022.

For Marusan, our employees are our GREATEST TREASURE!
